On the evening of Thursday, March 21, a telephone town hall was held to reach out to members of the Tri-Cities and surrounding areas – along with other supporters – to talk about the ongoing strike at Westminster Savings Shaughnessy Station branch and our members fight to preserve the pension.

Over 100,000 calls were made as part of the outreach.

It was a lively discussion with many concerned community members taking part in the call. The call featured a number of special guests including Donna and Leanne from the picket line, Port Coquitlam Mayor Brad West, MoveUP President David Black, MoveUP staff member Caitlin Davidson-King representing young workers, and moderated by MoveUP Secretary-Treasurer Lori Mayhew.

Thank you to all the members of the community for participating on the call, asking questions, and showing your support.
